Betsy S Murphy, RN BSN HN-BC ERYT

Betsy’s professional vision and intention is to integrate eastern and western knowledge and modalities to create optimal wellness and health.  An educator in the field of mind body medicine, she teaches adaptive yoga, meditation and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in a variety of settings.  For current class information please see Class Schedule page.  Betsy has studied and practiced yoga and meditation for many decades and has been in private practice for over 8 years.

She was educated in nursing at Loyola Univeristy, Chicago. and has received board certification in holistic nursing.  Betsy is also a certified yoga therapist trained by Integrative Yoga Therapy and Parayoga and is an accredited teacher of MBSR from UMass Center for Mindfulness in Healthcare and Society.  Currently she is expanding her knowledge through graduate study in Mind Body Medicine at Saybrook University.

Betsy is a member of the Practice Committee for the American Holistic Nurses Association.  She  has served on the Board of Directors for  The International Association of Yoga Therapists (www.iayt.org), and is a member of Yoga Alliance .
