Betsy’s professional vision and intention is to integrate eastern and western knowledge and modalities to create optimal wellness and health. 
She has been teaching yoga, meditation and providing yoga therapy to individuals in private practice for over 6 years,  teaching special group classes at yoga studios, senior centers and cancer wellness centers and as an associate with the Center for Complementary Medicine, Advocate Medical Group.
She was educated in nursing at Loyola Univeristy, Chicago with advanced yoga therapy training from Integrative Yoga Therapy and is an accredited teacher of MBSR from UMass Center for Mindfulness In Healthcare and Society.  Holistic nursing education provided by Birchtree Center for Healthcare Transformation.  Reiki training from masters Marie Shanahan and

 Linda Mardis.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for  The International Association of YogaTherapists (www.iayt.org), and is a member of Yoga Alliance and the American Holistic Nurses Association.
