Yoga Therapy
Based in the ancient traditions of yoga, yoga therapy creates a holistic practice that addresses healing on all levels: physical, energetic, emotional, psychological, and spiritual. The healing tools of breath and body practices, meditation and visualization are used to develop a personal program to meet the individual needs of a client.
Mindfulness
Research has shown the effectiveness of meditation in improving wellbeing and health. Balancing the nervous system, improving the immune system, memory and mood are some of the proven benefits of meditation.
Mindfulness meditation is a way of paying attention to what is unfolding in the present moment in the mind body and emotions. The development of mindfulness practices can be supported through individual sessions or participation in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction classes.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient japanense system for healing of self and others. The Japanese word reiki can be translated as 'universal or spiritually guided life force' and the Usui System is a way of working with reiki for healing of self and others. The client receives reiki treatments fully clothed in a lying or seated position, with hands placed on chakra centers or areas of need.
